“And We said to them: ‘Go, all of you; yet there shall most certainly come to you guidance from Me, and those who follow My guidance need have no fear, and neither shall they grieve.”
– al-Baqarah (2:38)
Al Hidayah strives to ignite a spark with which individuals can return to their homes and grow the fire of servitude and humility that is essential for each person, mosque, community and locality. We aim to cultivate an environment that is thought-provoking, fun, and spiritually uplifting. The Al Hidayah retreat will provide a well-structured program, including detailed discussion panels, workshops, lectures, and recreational activities led by knowledgeable and highly respected English-speaking scholars. The purpose of the retreat is to equip attendees with the necessary insight, resources and materials to not only grow as individuals, but to positively affect their respective communities. By doing so, they will be able to better chart a path for their personal progress, and move beyond the traditional labels and indicators that Muslim communities in America have come to associate with. We hope to push our brothers and sisters to engage critically with issues that affect themselves and those closest to them on a daily basis, and help lay the groundwork for the return of our Imam (a).
